Pakistan calls for climate justice in COP29 HOD Retreat in Azerbaijan

For climate change and environmental coordination, the federal minister of Pakistan, Dr. Mussadik Malik urged the global climate leaders to respect climate finance commitments and strengthen cooperation and develop developing countries for COP29 heads Dip (HOD) retracted in Shamkhi, Azerbaijan.

Shamkhi, (Urduupoint / Pakistan Point News – 25th July 2025) Pakistan’s Federal Climate Change and Environment Coordination Minister, Dr. Mussadik Malik urged global climate leaders to honor climate finance commitments and to develop Coperation Betayan and strengthen the heads of delariryging (rod) for the heads of the anger 29.

Speaking in a high-level meeting, Dr. Malik emphasized the need for “climate justice, equity and strong cooperation” between the global north and south in dealing with the growing clachic crisis.

He highlighted Pakistan’s rapid vulnerability for climate change, not despite the minimum contribution to global emissions, the country separated disasters, including floods, droughts, droughts and excessive heat.

Dr. Malik said, “The time of promises is over. Pakistan’s needy and transparent access such as climate finance, technology and adaptation,” Dr. Malik said. “The world cannot delay – the Paris Agreement should be honored in both letters and Spitit.”

The retreat, a closed door dialogue between the delegation heads from the Globe, aims to build the trust and a way to the meaningful results in COP29, which is determined in Azerbaijan for this year.

He called developed nations to fulfill his pledge contribution to an annual climate finance target of $ 100 billion, a promise under the 2015 Paris Agreement to help countries deal with the climate Empire.

Pakistan, one of the top 10 most climate-evaluable countries globally, has been the King of the years with a deadly monsoon and rising temperatures, which has displaced millions and damaged infrastructure.

The country has been a vocal lawyer for ecological climate action and more support for adaptation and mitigation efforts in the global South.

HOD Retreat is an important milestone in the lead-up of COP29, which provides an opportunity for count to align on major priorities before formal talks.
