Officers announce prior approval for compulsory unions to play in India amid safety concerns
Islamabad: (UrduPoint / UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-July 26Wan2025) Pakistan on Saturday officially banned all national sports associations from making any commitment to participate in sports events in India with Pakistan Sports Board (PSB).
The decision was taken to light of obedient security concerns.
For a renovated board, the policy was approved. The notification clearly states that all national sports associations should take guidance and approval from Pakistan’s Sports Board before confirming their particles in any Indian-hosting program.
Notification further emphasizes that no federation will be allowed to agree to any incident in India. The move is aimed at regional sensitivity to protect Pakistan’s athletes and officials.
The Director is part of a comprehensive effort to monitor the international engagement by the government by the government, which is a probable risk in the counties where the security situation may be a potential risk.
The Pakistan Sports Board is expected to personally evaluate each case, taking into account national interests and security colleagues.
