Pakistan banned ‘India Nawaz’ WCL

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Sunday announced a complete ban on the next partnership in the league, accusing the World Championship of Legends (WCL) of being biased in India’s favor.

WCL is a T20 tournament held in England every year. East and non -essential players of countries like England, India, Pakistan, Australia, West Indies and South Africa participate in it.

The tournament under the joint ownership of Bollywood actors Ajay Devgan and Harish Tomar was a controversy when India refused to play against Pakistan in the league platform.

At this, WCL gave points to both teams. India later refused to play with Pakistan in a half -final, after which the green shirt was finalized.

Many Indian players refused to play against Pakistan, causing the worst clashes between the two countries in May.

WCL said that it respects India’s decision and appreciates Pakistan’s sportsmanship.

In a press release released after the 79th meeting of the Board of Governors, the PCB said, “Pakistan Cricket Board announced that it was banning the next World Championship of Legends (WCL).”

The PCB expressed its “intense disappointment” over the WCL policy, which despite leaving the match, gave a deliberate point to a team, as well as criticized WCL’s text statements about the cancellation of India-Pakistan match.

The PCB said that the press release was filled with ‘hypocrisy and prejudice’. ‘The content of these statements shows a double standard where the slogan of’ Peace Through Sports ‘is applied only to select and the game is taken hostage for political interests and business priorities.’

The PCB said that it has always adopted the principle of keeping sports and politics separate and believes that other global games like cricket should only be used as a platform for good, healthy competition and mutual respect.

“To be subjected to a political spirit in a tournament in which mythological players participate, not only tragic, but also a cause of concern for the future of free game.”

The PCB said only one pretense for ‘angry’ for WCL’s apology, “This apology itself accepts that the cancellation of the match was not on the basis of cricket, but the result of bowing to the statement of a particular nationalism.”

“This prejudice, which is a cloak of sensitivity, gives an unacceptable message to the global sports circle.”

The PCB said that it could not continue its participation in an incident where the spirit of neutral administration and sports was affected by external pressure.

“We cannot make our players a part of the competition where the spirit of the game has spoiled politics and biased behavior and distorted the original identity of ‘gentleman sports’.”

In the final played on Sunday, South Africa defeated South Africa by nine wickets and won the tournament.
