“Padres are quietly shopping Starter Dylan has been stopping for about a month for controllable players who can help them now – and also in the future,” wrote Nighingale.

“Controllable players” is the key element of this declaration. It is now clear that the paadres do not believe that they will be able to agree on a contract with stopping during the offseason, so San Diego decides to go from him and get something in return.

However, most of the teams ready to acquire cease will not have controllable players in the major leagues, they are ready to exchange. The Boston Red Soxs may be the only exception with Jarren Duran and Wilyer Abreu field players.

It is likely that the Director General AJ Praler of exchanges will cease prospects, perhaps those who are just on the doorstep of the big leagues. He would then rock them in a profession for a starting launcher such as Mitch Keller or Sandy Alcántara, launchers who have several years on their current contracts.

Preller must however be careful because he does not want to pass to stop until he has a plan in place to replace him. Padres are always in the heart of things for a generic place, and a bad decision could lead them to fall from the race.
