The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Pakistan on Friday condemns a strong condemnation of gender-based violence (GBV), which includes cruel cases of honor killings, sexual exploitation and domestic violence, claiming the lives of many women and girls.
Islamabad, (Urduupoint / Pakistan Point News – 25th July 2025) United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Pakistan on Friday issued a strong condemnation of recent gender spit across the country, claiming many women and girls, including brutal cases of honor, sexual exploitation and domestic violence.
In a statement, the most annoying cases in recent cases are UNFPA, Shanti’s deceased, a young bride from Sindh, allegedly as a result of brutal marital rape; Bano Bibi’s honor-based murder in Balochistan; And killing a teenage girl in Punjab to use social media.
The statement said, “These are not incidents, but are surrounded as a comprehensive, systemic issue symptoms and depths contained in harmful social norms.”
“The heinous acts were done under the need to add to the immediate locations by family members, which should offer the house to the house.”
UNFPPA insisted that such acts formed serious violations of human rights and emphasized the immediate need for comparative legal and institutional reforms for the safety of women and girls.
The organization re-confirmed its commitment to support the Pakistan government, providing reliable data to inform shelters, psychological care, and legal aid as well as gender-sensitive policy to combat GBV through strengthening the surviving-centered services. ,
