New Orleans Saints Safety Tiren Matthew has announced retirement from professional football.
Matthew retired with the saints after three season, during which he did not quit a regular season.
His decision to walk away from football has come to light, provided he participated in the team’s experienced mini -camp during the office season.
“When I executed my clients, I thank him after closing my clients, closing this chapter of my life and formally retiring from the game, which has shaped me in every way.”

“For every coach who believes in me, every team partner who fought with me, and every fan who showed me, and rode with me in heights and bottom, thank you. You gave me the strength when I needed it most, and your love never imagined me more than I thought.
“I hope I was proud of you there. It’s not goodbye – this is just the next chapter.”
Matthew played his first five seasons with Arizona before signing Houston as a free agent. He then signed with the Chiefs in 2019, and helped the club victory for the Super Bowl as the first team’s All Pro at 49ers. He was once again All Pro in 2020, as the Chiefs won the second consecutive AFC.
Matthew returned to Louisiana in 2022, signing with saints in the free agency. It started all 17 games for New Orleans in the last three season, which recorded 10 interference and defended 24 pass franchise.
Overall, Matthew 171 appeared in 180 career games. He ended as a three -time All -Pro and a three -time supporter, with 36 interference, 100 pass defense, seven forced fumblines, eight female receipts and 11.0 sacks.
