I have asked many recruitors/companies about this, but I always get either non-consciousness or useless buzzwords. What do you see during graduation recruitment with no job experience? My answer may seem harsh, but I do not advise a BS job search.
What should I do if I have lost contact with previous employers and references?
I have asked many recruitors and companies about this, but I always get either non-consciousness or useless buzzwords: “What do you see while recruiting graduation with no job experience?” Big smile on my face, right? Because it lies that they are not getting the answer they want to hear. They want to see something, listen to some concrete in the way of information.
But what I am going to tell you is when I searched the entry-level people, I did not need to do so because I put the nature of the work which I had put in a much higher level. But when I was less experienced, you know, and I had a customer in the hedge fund business who would ask me to find the entry-level people, What I was watching was a clueSome clues that indicated that they were special, Some unique thing that separates itself from all othersSomething about his background that may be tied in the role. It was not much. Perhaps this was his personality. Perhaps it was something about an internship or their program.
Yes, my customer- and I think I had discovered two or three with these lines when I was relatively junior – my customer could specify a university, a degree program, some small quota of the background that they wanted to find me in someone. It may include a certain personality type. So I was looking for a clue, anything, because clearly, as an entry -level person, you have found very little to sell. You know, you took many courses and you got a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree from some university. Great! Do you think you are the only one you are ever? No, those good degrees, or good GPAs, and there are many people with good internships. So nothing special, despite what your educational advisor must be telling you. There are many great universities in the United States and worldwide. Your university may not be more special than any other, and I can think of clear exceptions in individual areas.
But here is the matter: I’m looking for a clue, anythingSo when looking at the entry-level resume, What solid things am I looking for? Anything. A clue. Something that tells me that you are a human and not only another resume that comes to my desk, saying the same rubbish like every other resume for an entry,
Tasks that immediately ruin a first impression
