Talking to a private news channel, he said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had preferred the country’s welfare primarily above all.
“As political activists, we believe in dialogue and engagement with all political leaders, partials and opponents that they resolve different differences,” he said.
He said that creative discussion was necessary to bridge political division and promote national progress.
Criticizing the opposition, he said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had failed to get meaningful public support and lost its relay among the public.
“They no longer enjoy the confidence of the public.
He also recalled that during his time in the government, PTI was engaged in matters fed against political victims and opponents.
