When I first heard that the mother’s name was also listed on Pakistan’s national identity card and passport, my heart wakes up in my heart like a centuries quiet “ah”. Over the years, we have been a prisoner of identity who is perfectly considered with the help of delivery. Mother’s ignorance, which is the first identity, was considered unnecessary, vague and sometimes completely missing on legal papers.
How many women are the only mother who had raised the children alone, broke the liver pieces in the cold winds of the society with their blood, they could not be in the list of mothers because we were living in a society where without father’s name, identity was considered incomplete and now the state has not given a place on this paper. Birth birth child will not be known only by father’s name.
When I laid the foundation of Nadra, I did not consider the state a bureaucracy structure. I saw it as a possibility, a possibility that can bring justice, equality and transparency in this country, but regrettably, these possibilities have been used only in the interest of powerful. Nadra today has fingers of faces, leaf bank details and even mobile phone locations.
If all this information wants, the state can tell in a day who is really worthy and who is under the control of the wealth of this country, but who has the courage to ask this question? And even if he is asked, where is the listener? We also tied the tax system to Nadra, voting facilities are also available, but even today, if a laborer works on a daddy, its data is registered, but it is not listed on Justice paper. On the other hand, the capitalist whose property is outside the country, is sitting in the Parliament legislative.
If Nadra is really so strong, then why is poverty still intact? If everything is registered, why the microscope in the zakat, the bait -uL -mamal and the feelings of feeling programs? If every child is identified, do schools do this? If every patient has data, then why not medicine in hospitals? If every elder has a record, then there is another question for pension and elderly benefits? And another question arises here. If you know who is, then how many sources of income are there, then why is there a way of justice for anyone living on the ground?
If the dream of Digital Pakistan is limited to a feature card, identity card or passport, this dream is incomplete. The real dream will be fulfilled when the mother’s name will not only be in a box but in every law, in every decision, every decision will exist. I know and I am sure the day will come when a laborer in Nadra’s database will be proudly written in his child’s identity card when no child is proud of his orphans.
Our tragedy has been that we have never recognized a woman as a complete man. The purity of the mother, but that purity has always been limited to a box. When the mother raised her voice, asked, asked for a job, voted or talked about her name in the identity of the child, the society advised her to remain silent. But it is time to break silence. This mother’s name is being listed on identity card, it is not just a box, it is a rebellion, against a paddy society that wanted to see a mother only as a sacrifice, but was afraid to recognize it.
Many women have their faces revolving in my eyes, single -mother which hinders children’s education after divorce or divorce. Now that the door is open to them, we hope that this light will not be limited to only a few boxes, it will spread to light law and prosperity.
But I cannot ignore the other aspect. In the digital world, identity information and monitoring are three major pillars. Will Nadra’s data be used only in the name of security or for social reform?
This point is also important because today is the most valuable data worldwide. The one who has data, has authority, if this authority lives only in the hands of the ruling class in Pakistan, then this identity card will also become another weapon, but if this option is used to protect the rights of common people, women, minorities, disabled and poor, then this identity card will be the key to justice.
I want to tell my readers to my friends that identity does not only mean a name or number, identification is a pledge, a promise that you are residents of this land and you have equality and justice. This is the beginning of the mother’s name, it is a beginning but not the end, we have to make it better to improve it to improve it.
