Most Americans have never been interested in Podcasting Meghan Markle

Meghan Markle’s struggle to unravel with his corporate podcast Confessions of a founding woman Can be explained in part by the survey carried out when she signed for the first time with Spotify.

The Duchess of Sussex has now displayed two podcasts: Archetypeson sexist insults, and Confessions of a founding womanwhich has presented interviews on eminent women who direct companies.

The first made waves when she explained the royal family in the first episodes, but sank into graphics in subsequent emissions when she moved away from the soap of the palace.

The second did nothing with the monarchy and had a hard time having an impact beyond the first episode.

This can actually be a surprise because the survey is far away that 2020 suggests that Americans could simply never be particularly interested in Prince Harry and Meghan’s podcasting.

Why it matters

Meghan launched a wave of new projects in 2025, but made an approximate tour among the criticisms for his Netflix cuisine program and his confessions, which were both linked to his own business, which was launched in April.

Now, the first phase of these companies is over, it will have a chance to take stock and think about what works well and what could do with a overhaul.

What to know

The Yougov survey agency asked 5,400 American adults in December 2020 how much interest they would have to listen to Harry and Meghan podcasts.

Only 8% said they were “very interested” while 53% said they were “not at all interested”.

And 16% were “not very interested” while 15% were “somewhat interested”.

This represents a total of 69% decrease on the side of disinterest, compared to 23% which expressed their interest.

At the time, they had just signed their Spotify contract, but no specific spectacle had been publicly revealed and, in the end, it would be a year and a half before the archetypes fell.

It was, however, also a time when they had not done interviews and, therefore, the appetite of the media to hear what they had to say were much higher than now.

The interview with Oprah Winfrey, for example, was still in months and was not even known in December 2020.

In this regard, the reputation of Harry and Meghan in America was still mainly uncontrolling, a running -in with Donald Trump after having commented on the presidential election he lost against Joe Biden.

Some may therefore, by means of concluding that Meghan should not take the lukewarm response to his heart podcast and simply focus on other more successful projects.

What happens next

Meghan’s online store, like never, sold its three products in a few minutes, but more products should drop this summer, especially a sparkling wine.

Season 2 of its Netflix program With love, Meghan Must also go out in the fall, while the Netflix agreement itself should run out in September.
