Phone interview two-phase: Nail it like a supporter

Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter. I have been referred to as a big game hunter because I have been hunting leaders and employees’ organizations for more than 40 years. Although I have done a video earlier or I had done a video about the phone interview before, I want to cover some additional points and you know that I just say that you already know that you need to live in a quiet place for conversation, but there are some fun things that you can do what you can do to really excel in a phone interview.

You know, when the interviewer calls, you thank them for calling and then you say, you know, I have seen the job details, but, you know, I can guess what it is that you are looking at me? What is the role for which I am interviewing? So, in this way, you make sure that you are on the same page as the interviewer. Often, since the time the situation details have been created as long as you actually interview, you know, it has developed a little and although the job can read on paper in a way, in reality, they are screening to do something different. Therefore, always take time to ask what they are seeing.

There is another subtlety, you know, ask them how long you hope that we will speak and you can just say, I just want to make sure that my schedule has the amount of that time. Now, if they are determining the interview time, they say, can we speak at one o’clock? terrific! How much time should I set in my calendar? Just guess the time you will talk with them. Listen to their question.

I cannot tell you the number of times where people start getting off these long time and I have to call them a spicy, because after a while, they do not know what they are talking about. They have no memory of the question and they have gone so far to ask them, do you remember my basic question? Therefore, try to stay at the point by answering the question in 45 seconds or less time. If you have to go for a minute, it is so.

But try to keep your answers in length for about 45 seconds and hear what they are asking you. By the way you want to sound, as you know, as you are thinking about your answer, as you are a little reflective. It is acting that you are doing.

They cannot see that you are noted in front of you that you are down some things down. I will mention one more thing to you. , , See these headphones, right? If you have access to the headphone, use them. I think when I do my radio show, it is very helpful to be free from hands and when I make my call throughout the day.

This just allows me to use my hands. I am not going to develop a crank in my neck which is going to hurt during my conversation. If you can use the headphone.

And finally, finally, in the end, you can ask them, so what is going to happen next? When you hope that I will hear back about the next steps in this process? This gives you a sense of timeline and then, you know, again, I am not doing anything, in such a way that you are worried or nervous. Everything is about the acting of the part, again. So you can simply say, therefore, thank you very much for calling.

When you think I can hear about the next steps in this process? Well, I have many people to speak. Of course, you have many people to speak. I am just trying to feel one for the date you have.

Well, I hope we will come back to you in ten days to ten days. I hope you will call you tomorrow about a person’s interview or whatever is, tomorrow. Just get the spirit of the timeline and then conclude by saying, I just want you to know that I am not particularly interested in this role.

I am eager to hear from you about the next stages and I like to continue further. The firms find it more attractive when they are being followed. Managers are one of the things that hire, especially, hate when they have to expand a proposal that is rejecting.

So you want to express interest because often, often, it is a discrimination when the manager who hired the manager is deciding which person has to propose. They have found two persons. They like them very much.

They are both quite capable. The thing that keeps it on the edge for you can be very simple that you think you are interested. So this is Jeff Altman, big sports hunter.
