Chicago Cubs are one of the most intriguing teams to follow on the deadline for trade. They are one of the best teams in baseball, but there are massive holes on the list to be filled.

Chicago must add a third basic player to replace Matt Shaw, and was closely linked to the Slugger of Arizona Diamondbacks Eugenio Suárez. It would be a huge decision to make for Chicago, but the front office must also make a few other movements.

Jesse Rogers d’Espn recently revealed what the approach of the delays of the cubs could look like in the coming days.

“The Cubs are first looking for a starting launcher, but will not separate from the best prospects for rentals,” wrote Rogers. “They would be willing to exchange a young striker for a launcher controlled by costs or an already under contract after this season. They are desperate to add an arm that can help while Jameson Taillon recovers from a calf injury. The enclosure games of the lifts in Taillon did not go well.”

Adding to start -up rotation is the greatest need for Cubs. They entered the season with a hole in the starting rotation. The injuries to Jameson Taillon and Justin Steele have crushed the rotation even more.

Chicago could be a landing point for controllable launchers like Sandy Alcántara and Edward Cabrera, but Cubs may not be a solid adjustment for rentals like Merrill Kelly and Seth Lugo.

Cubs should be expected to be aggressive on the pitching market in the coming days.
