“Eugenio Suárez is the jewel of the crown of this commercial market, but the sources say that the Arizona – which is in sales mode – as a ton ” for the knock, and if this price is not reached, the diamondbacks could hold it and try to re -sign it during the offseason,” wrote Feinsand in a post at Twitter / X Thursday.

While everyone seems to assume that the diamondbacks will exchange Suárez because of its expired contract, the Arizona was not shy to spend money. The Front Office could keep the third star player in a star and try to sign it to a new free agency agreement if they believe they can succeed.

But at the end of the day, exchanging it now makes sense. There will probably be an exciting war of auction in the coming days that will lead to the exchange of Suárez for a prospect program.

Even then, the Diamondbacks would have the same opportunity to re-sign it in a free agency at the end of the year, in the same way that the Tigers exchanged Jack Flaherty on the deadline last season and re-signed it during the offseason.
