The new structure introduces significant changes to the end-off-term holidays to create a more flexible and consistent academic calendar in the UAE-based hei. Aligned with ‘years of the community’ objectives, the composition aims to promote family cohesion and support students through a balanced depression of the study and break period.
Minister of Human Resources and Amritization, Dr. Abdulrahman Al Avenrate and Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, said that the new academic calendar reflects the Ministry of Environment, the university that meets students, enhances educational life and enhances the student’s performance.
Dr. Al -Under said: “This step reflects our ongoing efforts to increase the effectiveness of the higher education system by aligning educational policies with governors and students of community development and marks a qualitative change towards the more flexible, blurred system that supports students’ good, community engagement and individual world.
Under the new structure, the university will start from the academic year 25 August 2025, with the major holidays align with the school calendar.
These include a four -week winter brakes from 8 December 2025 to 4 January 2026, which resume classes on 5 January 2026, as well as with two weeks of spring brakes from 16 to 29 March 2026, the classrooms resume on 30 March 2026.
The academic year will end on 3 July 2025, which will offer a cleaner and more bolded schedule that supports the learning and good of the study. All UAE-based higher education institutions should follow an integrated educational year starting and the end date, with its domestic calendar for international universities.
The mandate also allows the beginning of the academic year with educational programs and expertise requirements in higher education institutions to detain, as well as flality in ending the end of the educational years at the time of summer semester. While the expertise allows to adjust holiday dates by a week before a week before the dates of expertise, provided that the duration of the hold remains unchanged.
