The Arizona Diamondbacks entered the commercial season with the hope that they would be among the largest sellers in baseball. In front Thursday, there had only been a handful of trades this year. Beyond Rafael Devers’ blockbuster, none of these professions involved players who change the situation.
Diamondbacks changed this on Thursday.
The Arizona exchanged the first goal player Josh Naylor at the Seattle Navy in exchange for Ashton Izzi and Brandyn Garcia prospects. The two perspectives were classified in the Top 20 of the Seattle Systemby Mlb Pipeline.
This business works for both sides. Diamondbacks are able to add prospects for pitching to their system, which is a place on the farm that Arizona still needs to upgrade. The navies are able to land the first basic player they need for their alignment. The first basis has been a weak point for months now, and Naylor’s presence adds a new wrinkle alongside Cal Raleigh in Seattle.
But this is not the last time that these two parties will probably talk about professions this season. In fact, they could swing another job in the coming days.

Slugger Eugenio Suárez was closely linked to the Navy this season. Seattle should be one of the most aggressive teams of its commercial competition.
Although the Diamondbacks could have exchanged the two pieces (Naylor and Suárez) at the same time in the Navy, it is logical to keep Suárez so that a war of auction can follow.
Now sailors can continue to hunt Suárez in a trade, but other teams will also have their chance to land it. It is a very intelligent movement of the diamondbacks, and it shows that their front office is rushing.
Do not be surprised if these two parts are linked again in the coming days. With the deadline for trade at approximately a week, Seattle and Arizona will probably remain in commercial talks until Suárez withdraws from the board of directors.
