Mumbai, (UNI): A special NIA court in Mumbai today issued a decision to acquit all seven suspects of 2008 bomb blasts in Maharashtra city of Maharashtra. Those who were acquitted include former BJP MP Sadhi Pragia Singh Thakur, former Indian Army officer Colonel Parhut and other accused.

Seventeen years later, Special NIA Court Judge AK Lahore today gave his final verdict in the court, saying that he could not be punished on suspicion, and the UAP could not be implemented, raising questions of the performance of the investigating agencies, all evidence was incredible. The court honored all the accused.

It can be remembered that during Ramadan on September 29, 2008, a bomb blast occurred at Bhaka Chowk in Malegaon during Ramadan, in which six people were martyred and 101 were injured. On 30 September, Azad Nagar Police registered a cedar, which was later taken by the ATS and arrested 12 accused, including Sadhvi Pragya, Colonel Parath, Major Upadhyay, Sameer Kulkarni, Ajay Rahkar, Sadhar Dharadi, Akar Chaturav, Rakesh Shahd, Jagim, Jagim, Jagim, Jagadi.

The charge sheet was recorded on January 20, 2009 in March 2011, the NIA resumed the investigation. After changing the government in May 2014, advocate Rohani Salian resigned and Avinash Russell took charge. On June 13, 2016, Sadhvi was given a clean chit, on which the Bamba High Court granted bail on 25 April 2017. Later, Colonel Parath was released on bail by the Supreme Court on August 21, 2017. The court also ordered other accused to be released on bail.

On December 27, 2017, the charge frame was implicated against seven accused, while 3 accused were discharged from the case and 2 cases were transferred to Pune and police stations. On October 30, 2018, a regular hearing of the case was ordered. On December 3, 2018, the first witness and the final witness were testified on September 4, 2023.
