A launch of SpaceX rocket scheduled for Tuesday afternoon at the Vandenberg Space Force base was forced to take a rain check after a generalized power failure rubbed the takeoff, according to a press release from the Federal Aviation Administration.
The power failure in the Santa Barbara region has disrupted telecommunications at the Los Angeles Air Route Craffic Control Center, creating a “condition without go for launch”, NASA said in the post.
The control center manages air traffic of more than 177,000 squares of airspace, including the California coast of Los Angeles in San Luis Obispo, the Ventura region and in the Pacific on around 200 miles, according to FAA.

As for the launch of SpaceX, the rocket and its useful expenses were still in good condition, said NASA.
On board the rocket were two twin satellites, part of the mission of the NASA tracers – the tandem reconnection and the electrodynamic recognition satellites of the cusp.
The two satellites will study the magnetosphere of the earth by determining how magnetic explosions send solar wind particles in the earth’s atmosphere, and how these particles affect spatial technology and astronauts.
The launch was postponed to Wednesday at 11:13 am, NASA said. It will take place at the Space Launch Complex 4 East in Vandenberg.
Last month, a SpaceX launch from the same place illuminated the night sky across southern California.
