Karachi, (Urduupoint / Pakistan Point News – 24th July 2025) PNS Sahibiwal (Desig) Gun Boat launched ceremony was held at Karachi Campard & Engineering Works (KS & EW).
The PNS Sahiwal (Desig) gun boat is indigenously designed by Pakistan Navy’s platform design wing (PDW) and is under construction in KS & EW.
This state-of-the-art vessel will be benefited with high-priority, long ranked semi-automatic guns, to increase its operation in marine missions, it is said in a news release issued by Directorth General Public Relations (Pak Navy).
Vice Admiral Ovis Ahmed Bilgrami, Deputy Chief of Naval Staff, saw the occasion as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest appreciated the joint efforts of Pakistan Navy’s platform design wing (PDW) and KS & EW to carry forward the Pavali of Pakistan’s Pawali.
He increased his gratitude to the Ministry of Defense for production for his continuous support to KS & EW. He also said that the gun boat would be obtained for marine safety works.
He also said that Pakistan is considering the additional production of Navy Gunbott. This will eventually promote both the indigenization process and upliftment of KS and EW.
The launching ceremony was attached by the high officials of the Pakistan Navy, including the MODP, KS & EW and representatives of the reportbuilding industry.
