The detectives ask for help from the public to locate a man who would have shot the driver of a car who entered a crowd outside an East Hollywood nightclub last month.
The alleged shooter was identified on Friday as Efrain Villalobos, 28, from Lawndale.
Villalobos is described as 5 feet 10 inches and approximately 160 pounds, according to the Los Angeles police service. He has a shaved head, brown eyes and gauges in both ears.

Police said he has several tattoos, including his family name, “Villalobos” on his forearm; The expression “respect is won not given” on his interior right arm and “Miabella” on his left inner arm.

The vehicle stopped when he hit several food trolleys, police said.
By surrounding, people pulled the suspected driver, identified as Fernando Ramirez, 29, outside the vehicle and began to attack him. A man now identified while Villalobos released a gun and fired on the lower back before fleeing the premises, the authorities said.
Ramirez was accused of 37 heads of attempted murder and assault with a fatal weapon in the accident. The authorities say that he was expelled from Vermont Hollywood early in the morning on July 19, but that he returned around 2 am – would have plowed what the police described as a “compact Nissan sedan” in a crowd of revelers, street vendors and pedestrians.
