(Urdupoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM – 10th AG, 2025) Brussels, August 10, 2025 (WAM) – According to initial data from the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Contentex), the irregular border crossing in the European Union in the first seven months of 2025 fell to 18%, 95 200.

Most of the major migrant routes have seen a decline, although the pressure in all three Mediterranean routes is high.

The European Union continues to commit its commitment to save border security and life in the sea, with over 400 frontx authorities supporting national authorities.

Despite the overall shortage, the human toll remains heavy. The International Organization for Migration estimates that 947 people have died crossing the Mediterranean Sea so far this year.
