Gaia has partnered with Samsung to launch a limited-sanskrit AI-origin phone, built on the Galaxy S25 Edge. Designed for AI sovereignty, device enables users to run large language models straight-to-front, abolish cloud dependence by offering privacy, ownership, and decentralizes the AI ecosystem.
In this interview, Shashank Sripada, COO and co-founder of the project, how the GAAI version Gaiaxi S25 aims to make AI sovereign, providing users direct control over their data and digital assistants from the device.
You describe Gaia as enabling “AI sovereignty”. In practical terms, what is this meaning for the objective user in areas where privacy concepts are more but high but less?
AI sovereignty means control over your data, model and the intelligence that works on your behalf.
