Indian wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant has been ruled out of the fourth and fifth tests against England due to an injury.
On the first day of the fourth Test, Rishabh Pant was injured while trying to play the reverse sweep of Chris Woakes.
The ball of the English fast bowler was hit on the right leg of the Indian batsman, leaving his remaining innings and exiting the field.
Chris Woakes ball hit Rishabh Pants on his feet, but the umpire appealed to LBW, but was not declared, but due to injuries, the pants could not continue the game. Wicketkeeper Batter scored 37 runs with 48 balls.
Rishabh Pant will not take wickets in the remaining part of the fourth test, but he will be on the wicket to bat as per the requirement of the team.
After scanning by doctors, the fracture was confirmed on Pant’s leg, for which the Indian batsman would have to rest for about 6 to 8 weeks.
Dhru Jural was converted into an Indian wicketkeeper for the remaining innings of the fourth Test match, while he could also be included in the final test.
