India’s embassy in China on Wednesday announced that their country would resume to issue tourist visas to Chinese citizens from July 24.
This is happening for the first time between the two countries in the last five years, when the two countries are trying to improve their stressful relations.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Govo Jiasin also said on Wednesday that Beijing had paid attention to this positive progress.
“China is ready to continue contact with India and to improving the quality of public adaptation between the two countries,” he said.
Tension between the two countries intensified when there was a military clash on the Himalayas border in 2020. In response, India banned Chinese investment, banning hundreds of famous Chinese apps and blocked routes for travelers.

Meanwhile, China suspended visas for Indian citizens and other foreigners due to coordination -19 epidemic, but in 2022, issuing visas for students and business passengers started again.
Tourist visas were still limited to Indian citizens, but in March this year, when the two countries agreed to restore air service directly, they saw a rest.
The relations between China and India are slowly improving, with several high -level meetings last year, including talks between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Russia.
India and China have a 3,800 km (2,400 mi) long border, which has been controversial since the 1950s. Both countries fought a small but bloody war in 1962, and the pace of conversation to resolve the struggle has slowed down.
In July, the Indian Foreign Minister told his Chinese counterpart that the two countries would have to solve border tension, withdraw military withdrawal and avoid ‘trade restrictions’ to bring relations normally.
