Satoshi missing, again
On August 3, 2025, the creators of the Satoshi Nakamoto statue, Satoshigelar, revealed that the symbol was stolen from his place in Lugano, Switzerland. Unveiled last year, the statue is a lifeline-shaped black figure in a hoodi, with an extinction with folded legs, a disappearance to the bitcoin (BTC) manufacturer is designed with a disappearance, fragmented effect.
The statue was completely removed from its base, leaving only two legs. The theft details were rare, but the team offered a 0.1 BTC reward to ensure quick recovery of missing iconic solids.
“We are offering 0.1 BTC, which will help us recover the statue of Satoshi Nakamoto which was stolen in Lugano yesterday,” the team shared in an X post.
The day later, the team reported that the statue of Satoshi was released after being dumped into a nearby lake. But it was not in a piece. The idol was separated, suggesting that it was vasalized by those who spoke.
Who stole the Satoshi statue?
Satoshigallery, in its update, thanked the city of Lugano for helping the statue, but kept the details of what they are wrapped.
However, an X user, whatever Grito has done, offered more insight into it. For him, Kaside, a group of intoxicated youths were seen celebrating on 1 August, near the statue at the end of Swiss National Day. He said the ISA was packed with action, which was facing an open air next to the statue.
The Grito claims that that night was in the park and not that the idol was standing at that time. In his words, the groups of partygorers, drunk and possibly want to stir some mischief, may be targeted in other fluffy antics.
Given that it was welded on only two points, they easily loose it and threw it into the lake like the lake, as if the nations have worked in any way with any way to risk the lapse, which is weight and security around the region.
The news of the saga quickly spread throughout the community, and many people do not take this incident lightly.
