The population of rare breed birds has increased in the Great Indian Buddhist (Bhakhar) Cholistan desert in Punjab.

According to experts, this bird, found in the desert of Pakistan and India, is 80 to 90, while in Pakistan, their number is estimated at 30 to 35.

Wildlife Patron Syed Rizwan Mehbob said that he has recently made videos and pictures of the great Indian bastard in Cholistan, which is a big success.

Deputy Chief Wildlife Rangers Bahawalpur area Syed Ali Usman Bukhari said that a special public welfare reserve has been established in the desert Cholistan to protect the Bhikhar, by improving security measures, the population of this rare local wild bird has been made possible.

He said that the population of rare birds in Cholistan is continuously increasing.

He said that the great Indian bastard is a rare and very dangerous bird in South Asia, with a breed to the midwife, the World Organization for Protection Nature (IUCN) has added the Great Indian Bustard to the list of two or four species.
