Islamabad, (Urduupoint / Pakistan Point News – 28th July, 2025) The legend was seen on Monday’s 30th death anniversary of The Legendary Field Hockey Player Munawwar Uz Zaman.
He was born on July 2, 1951 in a private news channel report in Lahore.
Zaman was part of Hockey’s Pakistan Golden Age.
He represented the country at the two Olympics, which helped the national team win a silver medal in 1972 and bronze in 1976.
He also played an important role in Pakistan’s winners in several Asian Games and Champions Trophy Tournames.
He scored 44 goals in 119 international appearances, a rare achievement for a defunded. After retirement, as the national side coach, including the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.
On 28 July 1994, he died of a cardiac arrest during a practice session of a veterans in Karachi. He was awarded the pride of performance in 1997.
