A fire that broke out in Chino on Wednesday afternoon extended to 120 acres in a few hours, and in the evening, it was still not contained.
The Euclide fire was reported in the county of San Bernardino at 2:08 p.m. near Highway 71 and Avenue Euclid. Cal Fire said the first reports Listed the fire as a vegetation fire.
The fire increased to 10 to 15 acres, by Cal fire, at 2:26 p.m., because both sides of Highway 71 were closed in Euclide. The fire finally jumped the highway, and Cal fire urged the drivers to avoid the area.

The fire continued to push towards the Prado dam area and increased nearly 100 acres. Cal Fire estimated that the fire could reach 500 acres.
Cal Fire confirmed that a Dozer line was created to help clean the vegetation around the perimeter of the fire. The firefighters then stopped the propagation rate at 5 p.m., according to Cal Fire.
