Now athletes who won the gold medal at the Olympic Games will be given a reward of Rs 300 million, which was only one crore earlier. Two crore silver medalist and Rs 1 crore will be given to those who receive bronze medal.
According to the government’s decision, the gold medalist will also get a reward of Rs 1 crore in the Winter Olympics and Asian Games, while the same award has been presented for the gold medalist gold medalist of the Para Olympic Games.
In the Asian Games, Rs 1 crore will be paid on the gold medal, Rs 70 lakh on silver and Rs 5 lakh on bronze. 75 lakhs have been awarded for winning gold medal at the Commonwealth Games while the gold medal in the Islamic Games has been awarded for Rs 5 lakh.
The British Junior and US Open Junior Winner Players will be given a reward of Rs 1 crore. In the Asian Indoor Games, Rs 20 lakh will be paid for the gold medal and Rs 1 lakh on gold in safe sports.
Youth Olympic gold medalist will be given a reward of Rs 5 lakh, while those winning the World Championship will be given a reward of Rs 75 lakh.
