Government launched major initiative for empowerment of youth: Federal Minister

Peshawar, (Urdupoint / Pakistan Point News – 24th July 2025), federal minister for federal poverty eradication and social security, Syed Imran Ahmed Shah on Thursday visited the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) Regional Office, where he reviewed outgoing projects.

He reiterated the federal government’s commitment to provide transparent, effective and services to the poor people.

Director General Bisp Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Hyder Murtaza gave a detailed briefing to the federal minister.

The minister was informed that BISP is running in 34 districts and 64 tehsils of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, today they are providing services to more people with officials.

Under the Benazir Kafalat program, 1,987,047 persons in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are recurring financial assessment.

Federal Minister Syed Imran Ahmed Shah was told that the Benazir Talemy Wazif program, more than 3,058,263 children have been sent to school enrollment and the literacy rate has improved. Benazir Nashonuma process is focusing on the nutritional needs of mothers and children and assisting breastfeeding mothers to eradicate stunting in malnourished children. Whereas under the Benazir Hunarmand program, the youth are being empowered through vocational training, and emphasis is being laid on early resolution of complaints from beneficiaries.

The federal minister accepted the dedication and hard work of the Bisp Khyber Pakhtunkhwa team and paid tribute to his services in the field of social security.

On this occasion, Minister Syed Imran Ahmed Shah said that the government is taking comparative measures to get people out of poverty and enable them to live life.

For this purpose, a budget of 700 bullion rupees has been allocated, which will be spent on their social security and welfare.

He said that the federal government is committed to poverty alliance and has personally stopped its nationwide visits from Peshawar, with the aim of running BISP and their brain projects and services on the ground.

He emphasized that the true service of the country involves curbing the threat of corruption and helping the needy.

A total of 716 bullion rupees have been allocated for the BISP program, which will be used to serve people.

He further stated that challenges will be added to challenges in underdeveloped districts, and flood affected areas will be assisted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In the next phase, he plans to visit Balochistan. He emphasized his commitment to eradicate power, where it is present and said that you are being trained under the Hurmand program to save self-reliance and contributed to the development project of the country.

Imran Shah said that despite political affiliation, youth are reaching international standards so that they do not face the difference in finding employment abroad in future.
