According to The Guardian, London, (Urduupoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM – 25th July 2025) Google’s Deepmind has unveiled a new artificial interested device, called Anas, called Anas, designed to help historians to study ancient Roman inscriptions. The equipment helps identify the origin and date of inscriptions and suggests missing words in damaged or incomplete texts.
Dr. of Nottingham University Anas was given Satan in collaboration with history including Thia Somaraschild. AI was trained on a database of around 200,000 Latin inscriptions, concentrating more than 16 million characters.
The inscriptions found on monuments, tombs and evening apps are valuable records of life in Ankon Rome. However, many are fragmented or worn, which is distinguished to explain them.
ANES analyzes images from the text and sometimes an inscription and compare it with similer examples from the 7th century BC to 8th century AD. It uses deep lunguistics and historical patterns, not just a keyword match to find a connection.
The AI may determine the potential Roman province where an inscription was created and its date was estimated with 13 years. It also proposes cacical words to fill the missing parts, so far tested on texts where the original words are alive.
In trials, Anas provided account insight into famous inscriptions such as Race Gueste Diva Ougsti and added similar texts to the regions of the Roman Empire. Historians called the equipment “transformative”, in which 23 resuxes find it usful in 90% of cases.
