Eight tourist vehicles were swept away in a flood rally on Thak Babu Head in Gajar district of Gilgit, resulting in recovery of bodies of 3 dead tourists and more than 15 missing.
According to Express News, flood railway rail, land slipping and river water level were raised on the highway.
As a result of the flood, 8 vehicles of Babas Rood were swept away, after which 4 tourists were rescued during rescue, while 3 bodies were recovered and more than 15 tourists went missing.
Gilgit -Baltistan government spokesman Faizullah Farak said one of the 4 tourists was in critical condition, while the bodies of 3 tourists were recovered.
He said that due to the flood situation, the communication system was interrupted, thousands of tourists got stuck, houses were cut.
According to a GB government spokesperson, the government has saved hundreds of tourists trapped on the highway Babusus. Hundreds of tourists have been given shelter by the local population.
He said that Chief Minister Gilgit -Baltistan has directed to use all resources to save the trapped people.
