India’s Football Federation dismissed speculation that former Spanish coach Zavi Harnadz has applied for the Indian team coaching.
According to the Federation, the alleged request received by the former Barcelona footballer on an email turned out to be fake.
The Federation said on Saturday that it received two applications via email, which were allegedly sent by Zavi and Manchester City coach Pep Gwardola, but both were fake.
Indian media reported that Zavi had applied for coaching to the Indian national team.
Zavi has not been associated with any team since Barcelona’s dismissal in June 2024.

Pep Gwardola, who is considered one of the world’s top coaches, signed a contract with Manchester City by June 2027.
India is currently looking for a replacement for Spanish coach Manolo Markes, who was giving mutually agreed after winning just eight matches earlier this month.
His term was less than a year. The Indian Federation has said that three of the 170 candidates have been finalized, which have not been disclosed in the present.
