Ms. Rana Ansar, Parliamentary Secretary for Water Resources, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Sindh Provincial Minister for Planning and Development, Nehal Hashmi and Chairman Vapada Nevd Asgur Chaudhary were also with him. According to a WAPDA spokesperson, members Water Syed Ali Akhtar Shah, GM/PD K-iV project Amir Mughal and representatives of advisors and contractors were also present.

The federal minister visited various major tasks in detail the fronts, in which the consumption structure and pumping stations are purified to include water reservoirs and filtration plants in the suburbs of Karachi along with Kinjhar to Kinjhar in Water Facilitation System.

Given the journey, the federal minister was bright about the site-wise progress received by the project team, residues and timelein for their completion. It was said that construction work on all the components of the project is in progress at a satisfactory pace. Overall, physical progress is 63 percent, which is a sum of rupees.

Phase-I are planned to be completed in 2026, provided that the funds are made.

Speaking on the occasion, the federal minister exported satisfaction at the pace of work and reiterated the full support of the federal government for the project. K-IV is an important plan for complementing water supply to Karachi to meet water requirements for urban use. He said that we are committed to ensuring the commodity of K-IV, as it is one of the priority projects of the Ministry of Water Resources. The minister emphasized the need for extended coordination among all stakeholders to remove hurdles for smooth displacement of the project. He directed advisors and contractors to follow the quality standards set for the project.

K-IV Project Lake. The project is planned to be completed in two phases. Currently, Wapda is disrupting Phase-I to support 260 MGD water to Karachi. Step-II, when applied, will also increase 390 MGD water in the system for Karachi. Phase-I are being implemented through eight contract packages provided to separate and international contractors.
