Through a single registration in a member state, the One Stop Shop (OSS) and the import One stop shop (OSS) allows businesses to announce and save VATs for cross-border, say about goods and services within the European Union, as well as to import low-value goods. Today’s figures confirm that businesses make full use of these simplifications, which cut red tape and compliance costs, as well as ensure the collection of VAT.

In 2024 alone, more than € 24 billion union through OSS, through € 2.8 billion through non-union OSS, and € 6.3 billion was announced via import OSS, representing a 26% increase in 2023.

At the same time, the number of registered traders is continuously increasing. By the end of 2024, more than 170,000 businesses signed the OSS and iOSS framework, with a remarkable increase of more than 20,000 new registrations in Union OSS alone in the last one year.
