Elon Musk posted a meme that joked the death of billionaire George Soros, a 94 -year -old Democratic donor, after several deaths of celebrities.

The CEO of Tech shared an image of the Grim Reaper in search of Soros in a clutch match on Sunday, a few days after the death of Hulk Hogan and Ozzy Osbourne.

Nowsweek contacted Musk for comments via the Tesla press office and the Soros Economic Development Fund by e-mail.

Why it matters

Musk has long criticized Soros. Earlier this year, he compared Soros to the Star Wars Dark Sidious Dark. In 2023, Musk said that Soros “hated humanity” and that he “wants to erode the very fabric of civilization”.

Soros regularly draws the ire of conservative commentators for its prolific support for democratic politicians and its progressive causes.

What to know

Sunday, Musk shared an image of the Grim Reaper during an agricultural game with legend: “Oh no no … First Ozzy now the Hulk? Is George Soros even in this damn thing?”

The meme recurred a long -standing joke in the left circles on Henry Kissinger which would reappear each time a eminent celebrity died. The meme fell out of use in 2023 on the death of Kissinger.

In the right circles, the same reappeared with Soros in the center.

Comparisons between Soros and Musk have increased as Musk has intensified its political activism and its support for Republicans in the past two years. The two billionaires use their richness to support the political causes in which they believe and have become symbols of anger to activists on the opposite side of the aisle.

In December, after Musk’s participation in the successful presidential campaign of Donald Trump, Musk addressed suggestions that he was a soros type figure in conservative policy.

“I guess someone must be the George Soros on the right,” said Musk. “I mean, my name would be George Soros from the center, I think.”

He continued: “We must obviously have just the basics. As President Trump rightly said, what we need is the restoration of common sense.

“We want safe cities, we want sure boundaries, sensible expenses, freedom of expression, respect for the Constitution. If it’s George Soros from the right, it’s me.”

On July 22, Osbourne, the Black Sabbath Front, died at the age of 76. On July 24, the WWE renowned temple, Hulk Hogan, died at 71 years old.

What people say

Elon Musk wrote on X on January 7: “Soros was really an arbitration genius, whether it was finance or politics. He also understood how to take a small quantity of private funding and take advantage of it in massive government funding. Brilliant. I just want him to love, rather than hated, humanity.”

What happens next

Musk, who left his role as head of the Trump administration government department in May and has since passed an audience with Trump, announced his intention to create a new “America Party” after the Republicans adopted the Big Bill Act of debt earlier this month.
