Destructive flash floods in Gilgit-Baltistan: More than 100 houses were destroyed, 6 dead, 300+ tourists saved

Gilgit, (Urduupoint / Pakistan Point News – 24th July 2025) Torrent Rains and sudden floods wreaked havoc in Gilgit -Baltistan, destroyed more than 100 houses, official spokesperson Faizullah Farak waste. Six injured persons have also been rescued and given medical treatment. More than 300 stranded tourists have been called back to Gilgit, Scardu and Chilas.

The Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan has directed the administration and concerned departments of all 14 districts to operate relief. Assistance distributors in the affected also gain momentum with the exploration of government and human organizations.

For the spokes, some tourists are being extracted through the Karakoram highway, which will also be deployed a C -130 aircraft in the collapse of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) emergency withdrawal.
