Denver’s fire service said the problem occurred on the American Airlines AA3023 flight from Denver to Miami while the plane was still on the track. Officials said the 173 passengers and six crew members aboard the Boeing 737 Max 8 are safely outside the plane.
Five people were evaluated at the scene but were not transported for additional treatment, confirmed the airport. However, a person evaluated at the door has been transported for medical care for a minor injury.
According to Flightaware, the plane was to leave the C34 door at 1:12 p.m., the FAA said that a “possible landing train incident” occurred when taking off the 34L track around 2:45 pm, the passengers were transported to the bus terminal, and the FAA actively investigates the incident.
American Airlines later confirmed that the plane had experienced a maintenance problem with a tire and was put out of service to be inspected by its maintenance team. Passengers will leave for Miami on a replacement plane later during the day, said the airline.

A separate incident involving an American Airlines plane occurred at the airport in March When an aircraft has undergone a “engine related problem” and was diverted to Denver International Airport.
