The fire broke out in an engine of a delta air line plane just after takeoff at the end of last week at Los Angeles International Airport, but after a quick turnaround, the jet landed safely.
Flight 446, which was on the road from Lax to Atlanta on Friday afternoon, made a loop and approached around 2:10 p.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration, which said that the incident would be the subject of an investigation.
The Boeing 767-400 had 226 passengers on board, as well as two pilots and seven on-board agents. Shortly after takeoff, the crew received an “indication of an problem with the left -wing engine of the plane”, according to Delta.

“I was on this flight, sitting in the midfielder,” wrote a person. “I couldn’t see smoke or fire, but some people saw it. It was really scary for these 10 minutes! Everyone has remained very calm, even if we panics internally. Very grateful to be on earth now! ”
Another person, who said their daughter was on the plane, added: “The driving crew was exceptional and calm all the time. Congratulations to everyone for the return safely on board.”
