The Punjab government has decided to promote the historical heritage of the province, including Taxola, Harappa and Bhara, to secure and promote the historical heritage of the province to the Heritage City of three cities.

The government has initially allocated 60 billion rupees for the project to equip 60 important historical and archaeological places with modern facilities.
Secretary Tourism and Acorology Raja Jahangir Anwar said that Taxas has the most prominent place under the project and has been given the status of “International Heritage City”.
Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has declared the city of the city of civilizations, the city of “City of the city” city of the city “city”. The Tawila Heritage Authority has been established to secure archeology, Gandhara civilization, Buddhist sacred sites and other historical sites. The first phase of the project includes road restoration, improvement in tourism infrastructure, museums and craft centers, he said.
The second phase will focus on restoring and exposing the importance of Open Air Museum, Gandhara Art Village and other historical buildings.
Raja Jahangir said that Harappa has been the center of one of the oldest human civilizations, he is also included in the project. Although no separate authority or master plan has been announced for the city, the government has added it to 60 priority sites that will be restored with modern tourist facilities.
In Harappa, archaeological discoveries, museums and excavation sites will be sought to secure global standards so that international tourists develop here.
According to the secretary tourism, Bhara is a big city and its population is more than three and a half million, but we will welcome the old city with 9 gates. The city is famous for its historical gates, ancient markets, Sufi temples, wooden work and old -fashion roads.
The Punjab government has also launched development measures to make it a legacy city. Although the full master plan or authority has not been established yet, PC-N is preparing under the scheme so that it can be converted into a full heritage area in future.
