Quetta, (Urduupoint / Pakistan Point News – 25th July 2025) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Quetta Captain (R) Mehrullah Badini on Friday instructed all the concerned agencies to use all available resources for the success of the polio campaign.
He said that it presides over a meeting regarding preparation for the anti -polio campaign.
The meeting reviewed the prepapers for the campaign, explained in detail about the ongoing measures against polio and environmental monitoring system.
Given the meeting, DC was told that a polio campaign would be launched at 39 Union Councils in Quetta under the FIPV + OPV “Readline Campaign”.
Dipping this campaign, for 3,53,950 children to be given OPVs between 0 to 59 months of age, FIPV vaccine is given to wheels between 4 to 59 months of age of 3,36,229 children.
Results of environmental surveillance done at variants locations that were submerged on 2024-2025 were also presented in the meeting,
The polio virus (WPV1) has been identified at some places.
In this regard, the emphasis was on adopting immediate and effective strategies.
A detailed map was also presented to identify high -risk areas to make the campaign more effective and sensory which has reached every child.
DC directed all the concerned agencies to use all available resources for the success of the anti -polio campaign.
He insisted that an effective campaign should be launched to make the parents aware of the importance of polio vaccine.
DC said that the campaign would provide silly security so that teams can work with work without any fear or threat.
