The Chicago Cubs desperately need to add a pitch before the deadline for trade, both to the starting rotation and the enclosure of the lifts.

The Cubs enclosure was a unit in the middle of the pack for the whole season, and an upgrade should be expected. After bringing Ryan in a hurry during the offseason, the cubs did not do much else to improve the unit.

Starting rotation is a much more important problem. The cubs entered the season with a hole in their rotation, and this hole only became greater. Jameson Taillon missed time with an injury, and Justin Steele is absent for the season with an elbow injury.

Sports journalist Ari Alexander recently reported that the Cubs were showing interest in a job of three different launchers: Washington nationals get closer to Kyle Finnegan and Miami Marlins howl Edward Cabrera.

Finnegan would be the easiest player to acquire. The cubs could place it in the backend of the enclosure of the lifts, with the seventh, the eighth or the ninth round of a given night. The right -hander is not closest to the league, but it was a solid force for nationals.

Cabrera would be another successful movement that would make the cubs better in 2025 and beyond. It is under the control of the team until 2028 and does not seem to improve.

Cubs need to move. The addition of these stars would push them in the right direction because the national league is to be won.
