Power Division Minister Sardar Awes Ahmed Khan Leghari said on Thursday that the policy of Competitive Trading Bilateral Contract Market (CTBCM) will be harmonized for the history of the first country in the next two months.
Islamabad, (Urduupoint / Pakistan Point News – 24th July 2025) Power Division Sardar Awas Ahmed Khan Leghari’s ministers will be implemented for the first time in the history of the country in the next two months, stating that the government will not purify the power director.
A press release stated that the minister exported these views during a meeting with a high-level World Bank delegation led by Regional Vice President Ossman Donon of Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
He said that under the CTBCM model, electricity will be traded independently in the market. He said that mechanisms such as “wheeling charge” are being introduced, and the government’s role will be strictly limited to regulator framework.
He said that this infection would be gradual and mainly guided by a sensible strategy for stability in the system.
The minister also explained in detail the government’s energy sector reforms, net meeting policy, efforts for privatization, improvement in deviations and investment borrowers in detail.
He said that Pakistan’s policy clearly bends towards promoting the private sector and ensuring transparency, and that the regime wishes to build partners in this journey of international investors.
Osmune Donon appreciated the reforms of the ongoing energy sector in Pakistan and insisted that it is the foundation of development playing a cruel role in the progress of any country.
He said that the world continued to support Pakistan in this region. He said that the World Ban Stand should be prepared for Pakistan’s party to promote a permanent, relative and investment-faced energy system.
Underlining the ongoing reforms in the energy sector, the minister also presented a delegation along with a compressed booklet and hoped that the current partnership Wold World strengthened in the future.
