Cleanliness situation deteriorates in Bakhtawar Colony Kasimabad

Hyderabad, (Urduupoint / Pakistan Point News – 26th July 2025) A serious hygiene crisis caught Bakhtawar Colony in Kasimabad, where garbage heaps, and filled drains have misled life for the residents.

Waste management contractor Pak Atlas sanitation workers are absent for the last 15 days, resulting in accumulation of waste accounts, streets and public areas.

Disappointed with the deteriorating circumstances, the inhabitants protested against the negligence of the Pak Atlas and the apathy of the local authorities.

This protest was led by Noor Ahmed Sanhwar, Asad Lashri, Councilor Aftab Buldi, Dr. Abdul Aziz Rustman and others who took slogans and immediate action.

Speaking to the media, Councilor Aftab Buldi said that Desipite repaired efforts to contact Pak Atlas, to address Saddam Abro in the last two weeks, no action has been taken to address the issue.

“Bakhtawar Colony has turned into a dumping ground, and people are falling ill days under unnatural circumstances,” he said.

Residents reported to increase mosquito infections, unbearable odor and spread of communicable diseases, warned that children and elderly are particularly vulnerabilities for special RISC.

The protesters called upon Hyderabad Mayor Kashif Shor and Union Council President Asif Shor to take immediate notice of the situation.

He demanded accountability for the negligence of Pak Atlas and urged the authorities to initiate legal and administrative action.

The residents also appealed to the area for immediate deployment of tractor trolleys to clean the garbage and restore a transular and effective hygiene system, allowing citizens to live in a clean and healthy environment.
