Lewis Hamilton praised Christian Horner’s “remarkable” term in the Red Bill as drivers recognized their “surprise” with their dismissal during Media Day in the Grand Prix of Belgium.
The Red Bills are the first time this weekend without Horner when the team was founded in 2005 as the principal of the new team with Laurent Maxes.
Hamilton challenged the British driver’s team with a Red Bill as a direct rival with Horner, with most of his F -one career Horner while he was in MacLauren and Mercedes.
Hamilton said, “It was surprising to see progress. I remember sitting with a Christian, sitting in his office in GP2.”
“I was in Formula 3, but wanted to go to GP2 for my first year. I think he was in Ardon.
“I won’t say that we got it away from leaving! But to see his development and career, it was clearly remarkable what he did to the team.
“With a very large group of amazing people, really big to run an organization that is bigger and it takes skills and skills, and that is what he brought to the team. So, I wish his best wishes.”
At the current grid, seven drivers have racked up for the Red Bill or its junior team – Max Verstepin, Yuki Sonoda, Liam Lawson, Ic Hudger, Alex Alban, Perry Gasley and Carlos Sins.
Verstapin is “incredibly grateful” for all moments, including Horner’s four world titles, and says he still talks to Horner.
Swonoda revealed that Horner had recently sent a message on Wednesday before the Belgian Grand Prix this weekend.
“I appreciate how the Christians helped me in the previous races,” he said.
“I had received a message from him yesterday [saying] ‘Show what you can do’ and, that was a good message. “
After just two races earlier this year, Sonoda turned Lalson into a red bill and New Zealand believes that after doing “amazing things” in the racing bulls, Maxis will develop with his work ethics.
“He will do great. He is someone who cares very much, he is a very good person.”
“I like to work with her and would like to work again with her in the future, for the Red Bill, it is a great opportunity to have it.”
Allen Perm, who has been in F -1, as an engineer for more than three decades, has changed the racing bills as the team’s principal.
The headger said: “Allen is the person I really know well. You do not see it often, but he was still a large part of the team.
“I think that’s the same, besides my engineer I have done the most.”
Elbone: Red Bill Miss Horner Will Mist
The Red Bill won the title of eight drivers and six constructors under Horner, who is in the gardening holiday by the end of this year.
The team had made the credibility of providing young drivers a chance in the F -One, but if they did not perform well immediately, they would have a sore throat approach by terminating or not renewing the contracts.
After just 12 races in the Red Bill in 2019, Gasley was returned to Toro Rosso but says Horner’s “standard is undoubtedly”.
The Alpine driver said, “You have the number of championships, you can only respect all their achievements and what he did with the Red Bill was remarkable and impressive.”
“Certainly, what she did to the team was very good. I am sure we will see her somewhere because with such experience and skill, I am sure that some teams will be interested in Christian.”
Elbon took half of the Gasley on the way through his Dhakaz campaign and also struggled against Veristapen.
The Red Bill kept it in 2020, but the British Thai driver was left without any seat this year, before he returned to F -1 with Williams in 2022.
Elbone says he would not be “in F -1” without Horner and Red Bill, and dismissed “surprised”.
Elbone said, “I know the Christian very well and he has arrived wherever I am, and I will always be thankful for his participation in my career.”
“He has clearly dropped a very hard ship, he has had a lot of success, and personally it is a shame from me not to see him in the pedestal.
“It’s being said, the Red Bill is a very strong team, but I think they will remember it. We will see how it ends.
“I don’t know if he has done with the game or if he is going to find a way back, but I express his best wishes.”
