Chairman Senate Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani met at Parliament House on Thursday with a 90 -member delegation of tribal Jirga under the leadership of Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi.
Islamabad, (Urduupoint / Pakistan Point News – 24th July 2025) Chairman Senate Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani met with a 90 -meter delegation of tribal Jirga, a tribal Jirga, led by Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi at Parliament Home on Thursday.
Jirga included Almazeb Mohamand, Malik Khan Marjan Wazir and Bismillah Khan Afridi to prominent tribal elders and guests.
In view of the meeting, the delegation informed the chairman on the challenges faced by the merger districts of the Fetter Fata, including the unjust distributor of resources and other important issues.
The Chairman Senate warmly welcomed the delegation and assured them that the tribal people would not be left alone. He said that the string of the Senate merged districts is voice and protector, and he said that his lawyers are national priorities.
He thanked Governor KP for effectively increasing the issues of tribal people and said that their concerns and demands are valid and they should be added as priority. The time has come to turn your sacrifices with development, displaced, education, healthcare and permanent peace.
Chairman Senate said that peace is a global concept, which is inherent in the Islamic world where struggle is arising. From Palestine and Gaza to Kashmir, many parts of the world are facing turmoil. He emphasized the collective need to work for global peace, referring to his repetition journey to Venice, Italy in this comment.
Recalling history, he said that when the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan, about 3.5 million Afghan to Sharan in Pakistan. Pakistan not only hosted him, but also provided opportunities for employment, education and family life.
He said that the world has forgotten the sacrifices made by Pakistan. He also recalled the rehabilitation of 2.5 million of individuals (IDPs), internal from Swat, Malakand, and South Waziristan, which first in history as Prime Minister during his tenure with 90 days.
He shared that he visited the personally affected areas and joined people for Iftar during the holy month of Ramadan at the IDPS campus. Despite security challenges, he was committed to his welfare.
Three years later, he recalled Malala Yusufzai with a peace prize from his office before identifying him with the Nobel Peace Prize.
He highlighted that his own son was used by the crook elements and was released after a three -year military operation.
He emphasized that peace is not only about the absence of conflict, but about justice. The concerns of tribal leaders were shared with them by the first governor.
The Speaker stressed that cooperation with tribal elders is important to achieve permanent peace.
They are reminded of the participants without the support of the tribal people, it is not possible in the creation of a wound of Pakistan.
He paid tribute to the sacrifices made by tribal communities, not the contribution of martyr Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtama Benazir Bhutto in promoting peace.
He said that poverty, illiteracy, and ignorance gives rise to terrorism and impurity, and the world needs strict peace.
He urged the natural resources in Magged districts, part of Phata in the east. He cultivates a large amount of poppy seeds and dialogues and strategy (eg Kery-Lugger Bill) in Fata and surrounding areas through alternative meaning of livelihood.
He also highlighted the need to connect issues in South Punjab, demanding a compressed resolution from the government for two tribal and other deprived areas.
He reiterated that the Senate would send it as a string voice for the people. He also reminded the audience that he was interested and after the 18th Constitutional ACE, the provinces now have more rights and should play a more active role in resolving these issues.
Chairman Gilani confirmed that as Prime Minister and now as the President of the Senate, he has worked under the same inclusive vision, which Kuad-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Shaheed Mohatma Benazir Bhutto, and later by the President through 18th eggs by the President.

Governor Faisal Karim Kundi highlighted the commitments made by the Sartaj Aziz Committee to allocate 3% of the FATA districts under the Accelerated Entry Program (AIP).
