Islamabad, (Urduupoint / Pakistan Point News – 27th July, 2025) A major step in Twentable Development and Climm Resilience, Cabinet Committee for Discovery for Legislative for Legislative Coys (Click), Federal Minister’s Theater President and Justice Azam Nazir Tarar, Federal Building Code, GBCP -2023 of Grinking Code, GBCP -2023 The code has been approved Pakistan (RWH-BCP-2023). Developed by Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), these landmark codes were present by the federal secretary for science and technology Sajid Baloch, while Registrar PEC ENGR. Khadim Hussain Bhatti and senior PEC officials were also presented at the meeting. CLC attendance efforts to develop PEC’s code which are applicable across the country.
Pakistan’s Green Building Code (GBCP-2023) introduces national standards for four or more stories buildings, focusing on the site stability, indoor air quality, energy and water conservation, reduction in energy and water conservation, reduction in amaris and security of local biodiversity. Aligned with the Sustainable Devilopment Goals (SDG) of the United Nations, the code is not for single-family or low-growing houses, or buildings that do not use choices, fossil fuels, or waiters.
Code is also a structural benchmark under IMF’s climate public investment management evaluation (PIMA), which outlines its strategic importance.
Complementing this initiative, the outline of rainwater harvesting provisions for the construction of Pakistan’s Construction Code (RWH-BCP-2023), outline the collection of rainwater, storage, filtration, and compulsory systems for re-use for both potable and and non-prosperous use.
These provisions apply to all residential, commercial and industrial buildings, and are added to challenge water shortage in Pakistan by giving relief to municipal water sources.
To support the enforcement, CLC approves Enndement in two core PEC by-loz: Consulting Engineers by-Laz, 1986, and The Construction of the Construction of the Construction of the Construction of the Construction and Engineering Works by Log, 1987.
Once approved by the federal cabinet, GBCP-2023 and RWH-BCP-2023 will be implemented throughout Pakistan. Their enforcement will be done by the release of the pro -relevant candidate, engineering bodies and the department.
Comprehensive counseling was conducting the picture process with all the provisions and stakeholders of the regions, including the extensive counseling Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Blochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Ezed Jammu and Kashmir, and Varoy Federal Ministry. With comprehensive-based support and legal support, these codes represent a national comment for durable, climbing constitution and water management practices.
