Carlos Sens has pointed out how he has proved how he can hang out with a Dutch driver in the same team against Max Verstepine in his two -day season. Sonz and Verstapin debuted in F -1 in 2015 in Toro Rosso.
The two were very young at the time and were affected at the early stages of their career. While the Max Versestapan was standout inside the team and it will be developed soon Red Bell In 2016, Carlos Sons also kept it, while the Dutch driver outsourced it, Spanard declared his colleague eligible.
Since then, Max Versestapin has continued to construct an impressive career, and since 2019, he has become a dominant team partner, where drivers have struggled to maintain the same cars. Carlos Sons was in a dispute for the Red Bill race in 2025 after joining the independent market last season. For one reason or the other, there was no partnership. Talking about racing with Max Versestapin as a team partner in the High Performance Podcast, Sinz pointed to his deceased season, as he said,
“I think that being Max’s teammates, everyone has a really difficult time. All I can say is that when I was Max’s team, I didn’t have this difficult time. I was clearly surprised at how fast he was, how he’s a crazy driver.
In his career, Carlos also pointed to his fellow colleagues who have been the best in the grid and how they have proved themselves against them all. He said,
“I’ve been a team partner with Charles [Leclerc]With, Lando [Norris]With, Nico Halconburg, very fast boys, and probably the best in the game. Now Alex [Albon] Even incredibly fast, and it still wants me to be in the best way. I know I can take it, and I know I have been successful in the past.
Carlos Sens rejects conflict conversations with Max Versestapin
The media has received reports that the Red Bill did not picked up the Carlos Sons, one of the reasons was that when the two drivers were teammates, the relationship between their camps and Max Verstepen’s family was controversial. Sonz rejected any such proposal when he revealed that his relationship with the Dutch driver had been great. He said,
“The only thing I can say is that I am actually running well with Max. This is what people do not see from outside. Like, in Formula 1 in Toro Russo, we had enmity in our first year, but it was a relatively healthy enmity in me and me, as we were going well about racing.”
He added,
“So, if that’s why I do not understand why they won’t want me with Max, because I think we will become a very strong pair in Formula 1.”
The future of Max Verstapin is also an uncertainty at the moment, as the Dutch driver has not yet confirmed where it will be in 2026. On the other hand, Carlos is looking to build a team around him in Sons, Williams, where he is on a multi -faceted agreement.
