The WWE renowned temple, Brie Bella, explained why she did not return to the company alongside her twin sister, Nikki Bella. In the last episode of their podcast, Brie revealed the “roadblock” which, according to her, prevents her from making a return in the ring.
While his sister, Nikki, made a surprise return to the Royal Rumble 2025 and should compete on Raw tonight, Brie has been on the sidelines. She explained that reason has to do with her husband, the star of the AEW Bryan Danielson.
The “Road dam”
Speaking on The Nikki & Brie ShowBrie asked the question of which she is constantly asked at the moment when she returns to a WWE ring. She said that she believed that her husband working for a direct competitor makes some people in WWE uncomfortable.
“I know that my roadblock is the fact that my husband is with the Rivale company,” said Brie. “For some people, it makes them uncomfortable at WWE, thinking that I would be there when my husband is with AEW. You know what, it’s okay … Does that sometimes push me that I want feelings to be different? Absolutely, but that does not make me angry or bitter.”
Bryan Danielson has been with AEW since 2021 and remains with the company behind the scenes after retiring as a full -time wrestler.

A story of two companies
While WWE recently opened the “prohibited door” with promotions like TNA, its relationship with its main competitor, AEW, is very different.
