Brussels, (Urduupoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM – 26th July, 2025) Belgium is expected to face one of the highest relatives of asylum applications with the European Union this year, Acoding to estimate by Eurostat, European Statistics Office, Eurostat.
The data indicates that Belgium is estimated to receive about 294 asylum applications per 100,000 inhabitants.
The film also revealed the Stark difference in the member states of the European Union. While Belgium applies 294 on 100,000 people, Poland record 46, Denmark 32, and Hungary just one.
Neighbor countries are expected to experience at least pssure with the Netherlands, with 117 applications per 100,000 people, Germany 169 and France 230 Belgian figures, but still below it.
