Even thought that you can detect plans for Labor Day Weekend, American Airlines is already thinking that you would like to fly in the next summer.
Fort Worth-based carrier announced a significant long expansion for 2026 in summer, including the airline “new” routes.
The truth is that just one of the six routes is technically “new”, but still, it is exciting for the American Flex to see long-lasting muscles beyond the trans-translateic destinations such as London and Paris.

1 new transatlantic flight
American’s only true “new” flight will combine the Dallas-Offer Metro, with Athens, Greece, began on May 21, 2026.

5 launching long -lasting routes
The other five routes making US announcements on Thursday have been operated in the past. they include:
- The service is going on from DFW to Aziza International Airport (EJE), May 21 to August in Buenos Aires. 3
- DFW to Zurich Airport (ZRH), service is going on from May 21 to August. 4

Two DFW flights are designed for “global football fans” according to American. Reading between lines, the airline is targeting fans for the FIFA World Cup, of which nine games will be in Dallas in the next summer.
American flew from DFW to ZRH in 2007, and it flew from DFW to Eze in winter.
Meanwhile, the airline last flying from MIA to MXP in 2020, but it dropped the flight at the beginning of the epidemic. The service complements the recently launched flight for Rome Fiumicino Leonardo Da Vinci Airport (FCO), which is already closed before this summer.

The American also has some reports for transpiresphic flyers: Airline will increase its service in Tokyo with more premium aircraft in the next summer. This includes Boeing 777–300er on the route from Dallas to Tokyo, and 777-200 from Los Angles to Tokyo.
Both these flights are currently powered by Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, and in summer, compared to 2025, the American will invest more than 45%premium sitting these days.
Note that the airline is not planning to fly. It will be primarily deployed in London, accounting for Znotins.
Ground level
American’s upcoming long -lasting routes for the next summer are certainly exciting, seriously seriously. They include some other secondary European cities such as Budapest and Prague.
It is very good to give more nonstop options to passengers, but since two routes will be operated from PHL, the plan of flyers will still need to be connected to achieve these flights.
